BAXTER Kit Backstory

There is a pretty funny story behind the BAXTER kit...

It started with me wanting to make a kit where the front of the kit was different to the back 'ster' and a play on the words and on the clipping board I had tried to incorporate a picture of a dog on the back. But it didn't really work - oh the design process...

About the same time I had an 'itch' to make over my Cross Bike that was Fluro yellow, light blue & orange... as no kits were ever going to match that!!...

So I had my cross bike pulled apart and painted black at my local car painters - Thanks Custom Paint & Restoration in Silverdale for bearing with my fussy designer brief!!

Next... My mate Pete Signs cut my vinyls based on the Baxter design and I just had to call my new Black bike BAXTER. In between the paint and varnish these were applied... Then me old mate GMC put it all back together - YAY!

A pretty cool process...

TOOT Little Pink Jersey

Next I met Ruby down at Pukekohe and spotted her in our Little Pink Jersey and just had to sneak a pic!! And then on FB heard her dog had sneaked off with her little Pink Jersey to finish off a One Square Meal in the back pocket!! - Oh No!!

So Ruby needed a new kit and had her eye on our original Black and White Joanna Kit... and I suggested that she might like the new BAXTER Kit!!

It was then that she told me that her dog was called 'Baxter' that ate her Pink Jersey and I just couldn't believe the synchronicity!!

So I said "Ruby, we have to shoot you, the bike and your naughty BAXTER" in your new BAXTER kit!!

So there you have it the BAXTER back story!
